OoooH Yer It's Friday Peoples

So this morning was the normal arguments with my 6 year old, get dressed, do the last of your home work for your Chinese lesson, brush your hair, eat your breakfast. You would think after doing this for so long now that she would actually just do it, but no. Oh well all is good she went to school on time and with her show and tell, after Song and myself made about 30 origami cranes. One for each child and if any left then they can hang them in the class room.

So I am about halfway through the Sandra Brown book Fat Tuesday. I have to say my book rating has not changed it is still a great book and well worth the read. I just wish I had more time to finish the book, then again on the other hand it's one of those books that I am sure I will be disappointed when it finishes.

So I know that alot of people in Australia don't like this, however most of them that don't have never traveled. I have been asked to sign a petition against horse meat being sold here in Australia by a butcher in Western Australia. There is a market for it over here. We are a multicultural country so why would we not except all different foods from around the world. I am more than happy to try and eat new things. I have traveled and I tried donkey meat. It was great. Horse I have not tried as of yet however would have no problems in trying it and even enjoying it. Australia has gone way too soft. Are you to only except the things that aren't different as far as food is concerned into the country (religion is another matter that I could debate on for a long time). We are missing out on so many dishes that could be served. If the horses are being farmed the same as out cattle whats the difference? Don't get me wrong I don't agree with cruelty and I don't agree with fishing out shores dry, but as long as there is some sort of regulation in place the same as we have for our other standards then whats the problem. I would love to hear what other people think about this. 

I am now kicking back with a beer finishing this blog up for the day, I am really looking forward to the weekend even though I am not really well enough for it yet. I have a hens night, heaps and heaps of cleaning to do and if anyone if willing to do it for me there would be a free feed of good food and a beer in it for them. I also have nippers and a possible business meeting on Sunday. Packed full weekend yet again. At least Blake Ridler my wonderful hubby will be here this weekend.
